GenealogyI have been using the family tree wiki Rodovid and the mormon census site to create my family tree.
If your ancestors have similar names to those on my tree, and come from
the area near Biddulph, Stoke-on-Trent in England, then please contact me, and I would love to find out more.
The Surname WebbThere is not much information that I can put on this page, other than a link to my family tree. So I decided to include some information about my surname, Webb. The surname Web, Webb or Webbe comes from the Old English word webbe, meaning a woven cloth. This is a surname that will have been attributed to someone due to their occupation, weaving, and other similar surnames have formed in the same way in other languages. For example, Weber is from the German word for weaver. And finally my famous American counterpart...Whilst looking for my relations, I decided to do a search for my self. One of the results from Wikipedia (the GFDL licensed encyclopedia) was a person with the same first name, surname and initial as me: Benjamin Joseph Webb - who was a catholic editor and state senator. I doubt we are related though :). |
